The Leader Behind the Coach
From Code to COO to Coach—A Journey of Leadership Discovery
I didn't set out to become a coach.
I set out to build things.
Starting as a software engineer in 2001, I spent over two decades building large-scale, mission-critical platforms for some of the world’s most demanding industries—telecom, insurance, and fintech. I climbed the ladder from individual contributor to managing teams of 800+ people, overseeing multimillion-dollar projects, and serving as Sr. Director of Technology and Delivery.
Along the way, I co-founded two startups: RS Consulting, where I learned the hard lessons of entrepreneurship, and myposhpetz, where I discovered that passion projects teach you as much about failure as they do about innovation.
But here’s what I really learned: Technical expertise alone doesn’t make you a great leader. And titles don’t make you effective.
The managers who inspired me weren’t the ones with the best credentials—they were the ones who saw potential in me before I saw it in myself. They asked better questions. They created space for growth. They led with authenticity, not authority.
I spent years taking notes—lessons from my own failures, breakthroughs in high-pressure situations, wisdom from mentors who changed my trajectory. Those notes became my coaching philosophy. And now, they’re becoming my first book.
Today, I bring that hard-won experience to executives and professionals who are navigating the same challenges I faced: leading under pressure, managing complex teams, making decisions with incomplete information, and staying true to themselves in environments that reward conformity.

How I Coach
My coaching isn’t about inspirational quotes or theoretical frameworks. It’s about practical, actionable strategies forged in real-world leadership challenges.
- Reality-Based: I’ve lived the problems you’re facing. My advice comes from experience, not textbooks.
- Customized Approach: Every leader is different. I tailor my coaching to your specific situation, goals, and leadership style.
- Action-Oriented: We don’t just talk. We create concrete plans with measurable outcomes.
- Sustainable Change: Quick fixes don’t last. I help you build systems and mindsets for long-term success.
- Whole-Person Focus: You’re not just a professional. We address career, purpose, relationships, and well-being.
What I Stand For
- Authenticity: Leadership isn’t about fitting a mold—it’s about being the most effective version of yourself
- Growth: Every setback is data. Every challenge is an opportunity to evolve
- Impact: Success isn’t just about climbing the ladder—it’s about lifting others as you rise
- Integrity: Do what you say. Lead with honesty. Build trust through consistency
- Balance: High performance without sustainability is just burnout waiting to happen
